This is the significance behind Good Friday. Its a very dark day, but the Light comes on Sunday. The celebration of Easter, when Jesus proved he conquered ever single sin and the wrath and punishment that those sins call for by rising from death itself. Hallelujah! I hope you find this as serious and worth celebrating as I do as you go through your festivities this weekend.

Indescribable
It's completely and utterly awful what Jesus had to go through for us measly, crappy, sinful humans. Seriously. Words cannot come close to describing how horrendous the very son of God was treated. We do that to God himself daily. My imagination cannot even come within a mile of fathoming what it must have been like. For a being so perfect and completely capable of doing any and everything at His own will, a person who had never known what it feels like to do wrong, to choose to lay down his life for the sinful creatures that are so desensitized to what they do every single day, and to take all of that on Himself? That, my readers, is the true definition of Love and Mercy and Forgiveness. We so often get that confused with the meanings we like to give to such powerful words for what we think benefits us. Meanwhile, we're blind to what is really going to get us somewhere. Not even just somewhere, but the one place where we never deserve to be, but by Grace can get there. Praise be to God that He loves us so much that He would endure that for us people who never ever deserved it.
